The entire continent of Africa celebrates Christmas by the large and small African Christian communities. There are an estimated 350 million Christians in Africa that would celebrate and organize the Christmas season. During the Christmas season in Africa particularly in South Africa, carols songs are sung from the Congo. They are also roasted meats, exchange gifts and family visits. On the other hand the Coptic Christians in Ethiopia as well as Egypt will celebrate Christmas during the 25th of the month of December which is commonly the date of Christmas celebration all over the world.

Gift giving is not only common in the western countries but it is also common in Africa. However, gift giving in the continent is not really necessary since most of the people here are poor and could not afford to buy a gift for their love ones. What they mostly do is to buy new pair of shoes, clothes and among others which they can wear in serving the church. Aside from the fact that they could not afford to buy gift for their kids and love ones there are less toy stores in the rural area of Africa. If there is exchange gift in the poorer communities it usually in the form of soap, school books, candles, clothes and any other practical goods.

Since most of the Christian cultures celebrate Christmas with their family and friends after attending the church, it also does the same way in African people who were Christian. As we notice, most of the countries during Christmas season take the opportunity to visit their family, friends and love ones. While in the eastern part of Africa they buy a goat meat in the market and roasted it during the Christmas season. On the other hand, in the south part of Africa, the sun is high and most of the beaches here are filled with families that enjoy the barbeque and the their traditional Christmas dinner with mine pies, plum pudding, turkey and more. Every county has its own and unique way of celebrating Christmas, and Africa is just one of them.

Yes, I expected to see African animals, not one or two but millions of them. Animals of different shapes, sizes and colors with different sleep and eating patterns; I am amazed and awed by what they had shown. From the biggest African migration to the most beautiful waterfall that I had ever laid my eyes on; all of these are the gifts of Africa to those who would like to unveil its beauty.

Have you not wondered about the magnetic pull of African Holidays to millions of tourists and holidaymakers? Have you not wondered why some chose to bask in the African beauty and sun alone instead of conquering other destinations like Italy, Spain, France and USA?

The word Africa alone brings memories of beauties and natural wonder untouched by human explorations and technology. The words African Safari Holidays brings memories of pristine beaches and pure relaxing experiences.

To those who loves Africa… the reasons is beyond explanations. For I alone witness and could not comprehend the very day I feel in love with what Africa has to offer. I though I would just find animals just to discover belatedly that I want to know and capture more… from rugged mountains, to migration, great beast, flowers and more.

The colors of Africa are beyond what the rainbow can come up with. The colors of Africa blended with each other. Yes, I have to agree I also fell in love with the monkeys, gorillas, lions, buffalos and the soulful eye giraffes… yet I fell in love more with the colors that the different flowers that you could only find here in Africa.

I fell in love particularly with South Africa’s national flower Protea cynaroides, that you can see on the image on this article. For photographer and travelers out there; for those who love the diversity in life…. The flora and fauna of Africa is one reasons for us to visit Africa.

First time travelers to Africa will enjoy african holiday in its simplest. Asking African safari travel agencies on the included activities and safaris included in a package is a sound step so that you can plan your travel to Africa. Browsing the web for information can also do well on a traveler.

If then it is your first time to visit Africa, you should not worry as long as you have your camera around. There are lots of sceneries to gloat over on your stay not to mention the interesting lodges, accommodation, tree houses and culture that you can get to know when you are there.

Every african holiday is unique and can not be compared to other safaris. So, you may not know what to expect and what will happen in your vacation. The mere riding of the safari truck is already an adventure. That makes every travel in Africa an exciting one. Imagine the possibilities that could happen in a millisecond- in just a millisecond a glimpse of a leopard or lion can make your heart skip a bit; or the mere stare of the elephant can glue you on your seat. Giraffes are an angel in this trip; they hover on your trucks asking for something to eat.

Water buffalos then are the most dangerous and most hard to spot among the big five- so make sure you watch out for a picture of this beautiful animal. The big five are considered as the seldomly seen creations. They are the most hard to find animals in the continent.

Sometimes, target the kind of event that they wanted to see in this place. Tourists would just love to watch the animals in their natural habitat and that’s it. Globetrotters also would like to be part of the annual migration. Some tourist would love to see different kinds of species of a certain animals. All these can be made possible in an African holiday.

Africa is a basket of so many diversities; each one unique, beautiful from the other and a gift from nature.
