The Story of an African Safari

I had no proper sleep for two months now due to a project presentation. It was not a mere project presentation proposal for it cost billions of dollars and its fate lies in my hand. Should I say that it is an opportunity to be in the project! But two months is so short for the preparation but too long for the hard toil of the body.
Now, it seems that my body would not cooperate and does not want tot sleep. With that condition, I decided to go to an african holiday. I couldn’t care less about the big five and the cabins. What I knew that I have been given a free package for it and I want to give it a try and shake off the stress.
The africa holiday packages includes a river cruise in one of the famous Chobe National park, game viewing and a night of camping at the Okavango Delta. But who could appreciate with a tired body, mind and soul.
I was summoned to our room and everybody seems so excited with the activities except me. I tried to rest and sleep for the night but I could not. I tried to join them in their african safari holidays activities but i could not. I just want to sleep.
I was served the most delicious and nutritious American breakfast the next day. Which made me wonder if indeed I am already in Africa or back in the US?
Still I am restless and exhausted for I spent a restless night. So, I decided to pass for the day and went back to my room and opened the balcony. A beautiful white hammock greeted me and as if beckoning me to try it. I wondered if it is included in the africa holiday packages, I bemused.
For seven days, the hammock became my refuge and the endless horizontal scenery became my companion. The lost sleep and the lost energy is now back. Thank you for this beautiful hammock.
The on the 8th day… I joined all the african holidays activities. ON the oncoming days I had wondered and admired the beauty of Africa. Thank you for the total holiday rest.
