MadagascarWhat is one common factor of these words Nosy Komba, Isalo National Park, Sainte Marie, Coral Reefs, Flora and Fauna, Indian Ocean and animal species?

Madagascar.

Madagascar is an island nation in the southeastern coast of the continent Africa and in the Indian Ocean. The main island of this country is considered the fourth largest island in the whole world and the haven of 5% of the animal and plants species in the whole world. And no doubt it is one of the most visited nations for African Safari.

Getting around in Madagascar can be done by water, rail, air and road. Majority of the roads are paved or getting paved. Taxis are also available and they do not have calibrated meters so agreeing on a price is a must. Though you can hire a car and a chauffeur is recommended due to the road conditions.

Inter Air and Air Madagascar fly on a regular basis between Johannesburg and Antananarivo for three hours flight duration. This country has different climate across country. The best months to visit this country for an African safari is from April to November which has a southern fairly and winter dry season. July to August is the peak winter months thus it has a very low temperature in the highlands though it is still warmer along the coasts.

Middle November to middle March is the wet season with hurricane season from December to the first week of February. So, better book a safari beyond or before these months not unless you wanted to enjoy your travel on your wetsuit. Seeking to have a glimpse of the flora and fauna in the highlands is best during summer.

There is more to discover in Madagascar that a mere glimpse. A country bounded with limitless possibilities, great African safari and adventure in style.
