African African Animals You Should Never Miss

African ElephantsProfessional photographers who went to Africa to catch moments and pictures of African safari animals come back with all the glory. But it does not mean that only the professional got really good pictures. Even the neophytes and the mere travelers also come back with good pictures to hover upon and talk about.

The African country is lucky enough to garner the highest number of animals species in the whole world specifically the southern part of the continent. South Africa has 50 lizard and snakes species, more than 800 species, 150 species of mammals. The animals that you will meet in an african safaris are so many and varied.

So let us list the the animals that capture the interest of the majority and the hearts of the many.

- Elephants are sign of abundance. In fact it is carved in a wood and given to friends and guests as a sign of abundance. Elephants are interesting animals; they can be tamed and wild at the same time.
- Hippopotamus makes me laugh. Their features make me laugh and wonder of the Creators creativity. They are semi aquatic animals. Now perhaps due to its size they prefer the help of water’s buoyancy to make them move faster. It explains it choice of habitat.
- Rhinocerous
- Buffaloes are dangerous and beautiful at the same time. They are handled with care for they very unpredictable and can not be trusted. Stories about the intelligence and the heroic act of buffaloes are famous in the hunters camp.
- Jackass Penguin is an endemic flightless bird found in the sountern part of Africa. They are agile and good swimmers thus they are referred to as underwater flying creatures. For they fly underwater, they swim fast and gracefully.
- Apes are the closest cousins of the human beings. They are intelligent and territorial animals and only a few hundreds are left due to massive hunting and poaching. They are already protected by laws.
