Why African Safari is the Best Holiday Destination?

What is your idea of a Holiday Vacation? Perhaps Gold set hotels full of bazillions of little twinkling lights; luxurious and lucrative locations plus endless supply of bubbling champagne? Yes, I agree with you. I would also love to spend Christmas in this kind of milieu.

But if given the money and endless possibilities, I would pack my bags and heed for Africa for an African Safari Holiday Vacations.

Why?

Not for any humanitarian reasons but for literature and pleasure reasons. But to be able to prove if the legend about the animals in the Chinese astrology is true; according to the legend the first animal (Dog, Pig, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, rooster, Ox, Rat and etc.) to howl at the strike of twelve will be the representative animal of that particular year. The 12 year cycle is represented each by the 12 animals. Let me see if the ox will ended howl at the strike of 12.

2009 is the year of the ox. So, where do you think is the best place to hear the first clatter of sounds? – Of course in the midst of Africa.

African Safari would really be a good end year travel for me. It would be a travel to be talked about for decades. The occasion to put ourselves in the shoes of our great forefathers, even for a night will make it a day to remember.

Ideal places to hunt for the first animal howl are in Great Rift Valley, Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands and Reserves and Masai Mara.

Great Rift Valley is a constant geographic trough roughly estimated as 6,000 km in length that sprint from Central Mozambique (East Africa) to Southwest Asia. The name was given by a John Walter Gregory, a British traveler.

Kruger National Park is the biggest game reserve which is approximately 18,989 sq. km and 350 km from south to north. This is the site of the famous eyewitness video, the Battle at Kruger.

Sabi Sands Game Reserve has a very diverse flora and fauna due to the two rivers that flows in this reserve. Imagine the diversity of the biomes that you can observe in this area.

Masai Mara is the site of the perennial annual migration that is flocked by tourist worldwide.
