It is known that the fiercest of them all is the Lion King. And to gaze at one seems to gaze at a royalty in the animal kingdom. Like the rest of the animal kingdom the family of lions got a very unique way of survival within their group. Like the other cat family; lions are considered as lazy creations. They spend 20 hours a day sleeping and the rest of the hours hunting for food. So if you visit a lion hub don’t expect much activity then if the lions are not hungry. Though keep in mind that there is always caution in dealing with wild animals.
In a pride of lions, females are considered as the good hunter of the group. Yet, males should eat first followed by the females. The lioness- female lion- is a beautiful and graceful animal. One is attracted to touch its shiny hair.
Try to see the queen of the jungle in these places in Africa.

Botswana- there great places to stop over in Botswana to gaze at the lion family. If you are trying to freeze the lions- on camera of course- then try hunting them down with caution in this part of Africa. Mashatu Game Reserve also has good lion figures to take a shot at. The Okavango Delta is also a good place to spot a lioness.

Zambia- Another great African country to watch the activities of a lion and lioness. Seeing the lioness on the move with her cubs in south Luangwa National park is such a very humbling experience and very tension filled at that. But seeing the lioness on the go for the hunt of the day in the bush is such a very scary scene that made me seek our tour guide to ask if it is okay to sit in out trucks that day. Amid the laughter of the tours guide who are used to such activity.

South Africa- No question the Kruger National Park has the best of the sightings of the lions. The park actually in the habitat of thousands of animal specie and the lion is not an exception. The park is one of the most well-known in the industry of African Safaris.

Kenya- Masai Mara is the best in this part of Africa. With its many wonders Masai Mara never fail to amaze its guests of sighting of the wild animals. This place is a home of animals known only to the books and television. The best place to look at the lioness in all of its activity.
