African Adventure in Southern Tanzania

TanzaniaAdventure is a relative idea. One adventure travel may excite some but not others. African adventure may vary from one group to another and from one concept of adventure to another but there is only one denominator among them all- the nature factor. Most adventures usually challenge the natural law of gravity or the brave nature.

This one African adventure does not contest nature but appreciates what nature has carved and designed and seen as aesthetic. I never thought that my travel to Southern Tanzania would be a rare gem of opportunity to view and admire the Swahili and the Indian Ocean.

To my surprise there is no tourist in sight to share the moment with. The place is all ours to explore and enjoy. This is one secret that I hope will remain a secret in Southern Tanzania. An adventure right after an African safari adventure; this time conquer the creatures under the seas of Africa. And if that is too extreme then perhaps the endless array of sand dunes could be your haven for a moment.

Tanzania is a country sought for its safaris. The best safaris are to be found here but unknown to all is the paradise of beaches that stretch along miles of sandy pleasure. One can just packed a picnic sandwiches and enjoy the glorious sand and sand in Southern Tanzania after a blood rushing event in Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro and Serengeti.

Southern Tanzania’s gateway to tourism is the Mtwara which is the starting point of regular flights and access from and to Dar es Salaam. This town is near the Mnazi Bay Marine Park, a haven to the most beautiful stage for diving and snorkeling.

Mnazi Bay is made colorful by the presence of birds in the area like: Black-bellied glossy-starling, Mangrove Kingfisher, Greater Sand, Crab Plover, Brown-headed Parrot and Four-coloured Bushshrike.
