Another interesting place to visit in Ethiopia is its eastern area where the former capital Lalibela contains various significant sites. From here you can find a number of 13th century churches shaped of rock through the help of angels according to the legend.
The people of the Ethiopian Highlands have been isolated in the rugged geography. They have never been influenced by the outside world and due to that, they preserved their cultures and ways of life until these recent days. The people in Ethiopia are called “Amharas” and they were known as the most influential people all over the highland’s ethic groups.
