Meru National Park is 85,044 hectares of Kenyan Forest. It has green scenery with lush swamp and tall grass due to abundant rainfall. Thus is it hard to spot game. Though this also means that the place is a hub for animals like hippopotamus, leopard, cheetah, elephant, lion, black rhinos and antelopes. The famous Elsa the Lioness was also raised here by Joy Adamson and George Adamson. This park’s history is also one of the many inspiring stories of life and reality. It was restored to the most promising park from 2000-2005.
These two parks in Kenya are the most memorable park in the history of orphaned lions and lioness. Two are the famous Christian the Lion and Elsa the Lioness. Wouldn’t it great for an African safari to have some meaning? To know the history of how Christian the lion befriended the two men caretakers would make your African vacation a memorable one.
